Different paths to digital convenience
Digital displays influence the interior design, controls, and environment of modern cars. In this article, we examined the different approaches taken by Škoda Auto, Tesla, and Mercedes-Benz. For comparison, we selected the Enyaq iV 80 from Mladá Boleslav, the American Model 3, and the EQS from Mercedes-Benz in Germany 1. Minimalist Tesla Tesla prefers a design with fewer buttons combined with a 15-inch central display. Quite cleverly, the left third of this display is dedicated to basic information such as speed, warning lights, and navigation information. The central display is horizontally oriented and positioned so that it is partially within the driver’s field of view.
